COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I heard about couchsurfing at quetzalroo hostel, and I have hosted travellers from germany, australia, and czech republic.

I have hosted at least 10-12 people or persons, including couples, single travellers, men, women, and had great luck with all of them. I have given tours of Portland, including the downtown/food truck area, taught people how to take the trains, given people maps, done yoga with people, all with my daughter Natalie.

On the one occasion I surfed in Eugene while preparing for Eugene Symphony auditions, I was asked to babysit the host's daughter at a neighbor's pool, with a bunch of other preteens. As a Suzuki violin teacher and Kids Yoga teacher, it was cool but her daughter Jasper was bullying the other girl, and I stood up for this person. This apparently caused a riff between me and said host, which I wasn't aware of until they posted on my page. It saddens me that people can sully someone's reputation with one comment, would be jealous of someone, or otherwise try to tear them down when their own child is misbehaving. I do not couchsurf often, but this one comment has apparently ripped this profile to pieces. I have been unable to surf due to this comment about "strangeness". Yes, I am definitely strange, but not in the way this comment implies. I uphold my strangeness with pride. and also standing up for the little people. thank you.
