ABOUT ME

Hey ya'll! I just moved to Asheville (Jan 9th), loving it so far. I'm up for meeting people and hanging out, I need some new friends in this new place! I don't have a couch available now, but maybe soon.

I find it almost impossible to sit and discuss myself. If happiness is that state of consciousness which proceeds from the achievement of one's values, then I find my values to be rooted in music, friendship, and adventures!! But....I like lotsa stuff hmmm like live music, festivals, politics, fellas, shoes, The Chief, being underwater, gin, skateboarding, late nights, cooking, sleeping, secrets, Jesus, traveling, Radiohead, pancakes, yellow, El Doses, baking, pajama pants, honeysuckle, alone time, Oscar Lou or any animals really, being outside, beards, hotel rooms, the Sun, grapefruits, libertarians, Sherwood Forest among other things... I'm a pretty laid back gal!

PHILOSOPHY

I only have one main rule that seems to keep the rest of me in check: Be kind anyway! Kindness is severly underated. I find it to be the most powerful motivator. Regarding people, situations, animals, the environment, spirituality, politics...BE KIND ANYWAY!
One crazy night with some good friends we decided that we may not have the nicest houses, clothes, cars etc, but we have had amazing adventures! The next day we woke up to the this scribbled on a napkin: It's not about your expenses, its about your experiences! AMEN, brotha!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I wish I would have known about this site sooner! I have hosted many a traveler on my couch/extra bed/air mattress numerous times! I can understand the need to wander, the need to refuse the complacency of common life, the need for spontaneity and unpredictable circumstances! I appreciate and want to foster the urge to travel around and explore!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I live in a very touristy town, people live here for a few months for seasonal work. I'm drawn to the nomadic lifestyle and want to help those out who enjoy the same. This past summer I had two fellows couch/extra room surf for a few weeks, in return for keeping the dishes washed!

Musik, Filme und Bücher

There is too much music that I love to name it all individually. I collect records, love jam bands, and would give my last dollar for a live show! I could read Emerson everyday and find a renewed longing for a greater bond with nature, even if I have read it 100 times. I love weirdo movies, if you know who Jodorowsky, von Trier, or Aronofsky are, please be my friend!!!!Lol

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

I have been so lucky to witness the most epicness of live music! I could not put into words what I have experienced! From Oct 2011 until Feb 2012, I traveled in southern Mexico and Guatemala with my boyfriend, my roomate, and my dog Oscar :). We spent weeks lounging in hammocks on forgotten beaches in Mexico. We trekked through remote jaguar mountains at night with dying flashlights and a switchblade in the open position at all times, scary and exhilarating. I've climbed the highest pyramid in the Mayan world. I've swam in a lake, two miles high, surrounded by three volcanoes. Ah, no way I can keep it at "one amazing thing"!!!

My passion lies in the kitchen, but I could sing you right out of your blues (and blue jeans, watch out!) I love baking and could probably show you a trick or two.
