About Me

CURRENT MISSION

50 states, 50 yrs! Goal: I completed the US by the end of my 50th birthday year, yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ABOUT ME

I am vertically challenged, however, I love being short too. I smile a lot and I enjoy laughter. I am optimistic, adventurous, outgoing, try to be considerate of others, and I have good morals and values. I am a loyal friend, dedicated and committed to my word. I love to travel ! I don't always have a plan, I like being spontaneous and just go with the flow sometimes. I am a Christian and not ashamed of saying that I am. I don't push Religion on anyone, I have a personal relationship with God and enjoy attending Church.
I also volunteer in the community when needed. I try to treat people with respect and kindness regardless of their status (physically, mentally, spiritually, emotional, or social). I am not perfect and I make a lot of mistakes, BUT, without mistakes, I can't learn life's challenges and strive to make better choices in living the good life.

PHILOSOPHY

I truly believe that if you are good to people most of the time they will be good to you. I have a passion for life, living and traveling. I I try to live life to the max or as much to the max as I can. Life is short and it is up to me to make the best of it. I have always taught my son to "live life to its fullest as long as you are not hurting anyone, taking anything away from anyone, lying, cheating, or stealing, live your life to the max". I want to leave this world knowing that I had lived much of my dreams (if not all of them) and made a difference in the lives of others I met along the way and vice versa. Life is what we make of it.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: To Joey, With Love, Hallmark Movies, Eat, Play, Love, Tin Cup, Flashdance, Mama Mia, Pretty Woman, Bruce Almighty, Tennessee Titans, The Passion, Saving Grace, etc.; Music: I enjoy all kinds of music, however, Hawaiian music and Blues are my favorites. I truly wore out my car stereo channel button because I changed channels so much (this was before we had "Scan"); Books: Bible, DIY, Love Stories, Autobiographies, Fiction, "How To" books (carpenter, art/crafts, etc), D. Steele is one of my favorite authors.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

For my 50th birthday I jumped out of an airplane in CA. I wanted to do something out of the ordinary and memorable, I reached my 50th birthday goal. I have now seen/been in all 50 states and feel so fortunante to have had the opportunity to admire the beauty of our Country, USA! Drove 9 days from NC to Alaska, stopped in the Yukon along the road to take pictures of grizzly bears/cubs, black bears/cubs and brown bears/cub, buffalo, moose, porccupines, mtn sheep, otters, eagles, etc..

Teach, Learn, Share

Life is a journey. To be happy with yourself and in your own skin speaks confidence in knowing who your are. And knowing what you like or don't like, want or don't want, who you want or do not want in your life and knowing what your comfort zones are is very important. I have lived in Hawaii (The Big Island and Maui (twice) and Oahu). I have visited all of the HI islands and love the beauty of "Paradise". I also traveled to Africa for Mission work (Kenya), people were unique and precious , and wow, what an experience! The African people were so kind and HAPPY even as poor as they were. My heart broke for the people in Nairobi, what we see on tv is truly the way life is Kenya with very little food/water and poor living conditions. I feel so BLESSED to have had the opportunity to be a servant in Kenya. America is BLESSED.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would like to share my travel experiences with Hosts and as a guest. My personality is easy going, laid back, live and let live without judgement. I try not to have expectations of others because I don't want to be disappointed nor do I want to disappoint people. I want to be free to be me and expect the same of others as well.
