About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To meet with new people, make friends, travel around the world, find business opportunuties. Smile addicted travel partner/ host :)

ABOUT ME

I've been living in Istanbul near fourteen yeras in my own residence alone... I was born in Konya the city of Mevlana and I've grown up in Ankara. I've graduated from Industrial Engineering department and working as a Freelance IT Project Manager.

I love to live in Istanbul :) Istanbul is waiting for to get explored with its' seven hills for new faces, Istanbul lives the "Past" and the "Present" together...

I like to travel across Turkiye and Europe. I'll be happy to host, to meet outside with new people and share life experiences, make friends all over world :)

PHILOSOPHY

Karma Philosophy :) My actions are my only true belongings. I cannot escape the consequences of my actions. My actions are the ground upon which I stand.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Looking at action, regardless of positive/negative|good/bad, the action is the result of something; it is the effect of other causes.

To end up in another country people does not just click their fingers. One must find a method to get there, pack up, make arrangements for transportation and living at both ends, communicate to their family/friends what is going to take place. Then after ALL of this, the person finally takes karma(action). They are living their karma, their action.

Therefore, If you want to share life experiences, make friends, to sleep somewhere different, to wake up on a different couch but with the same sunshine again, to eat something never tasted before but to smile and laugh always the same as you do... You are in the right place so!!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've listened real good stories more from friends. I think the point of couch surfing is to touch base if you are travelling and to make friends, not to get only free accommodation, free food and give nothing back. It's share of experiences, like the two different sides of an apple! It's a way of travelling & meeting people from all around the world that is intellectually, culturally & emotionnally exciting! Some of my friends are travelling this way also & hosting people. I think once you've started you don't really want to travel any other way because you see & learn so much more from the places where you go!

And the last words; Who wants to host someone who has NEVER hosted? As far as I know, hostels are not so expensive in Istanbul for travellers around. The hot-spot is knowing people is more interesting than saving money!

Interests

I've been playing guitar and piano professionally about 15 years, I've singed and played on TV Shows too :) I've been a Tango and Salsa dancer over ten years and Turkish Folk dances. I'm writing blogs and some essay on internet and social-media sites. I'm writing sit-com scenarios besides. Charcoal drawing, sculpture education are other art sections of mine. I used to be a licensed Basketball player too, I like to watch football but not a big fan :) I like going Karaoke nights for fun...

I like to explere interesting places, new restaurants, bars etc. and meet with fresh people. Watching movies, theatre nights, local shightseeing etc.

I love to listen life stories so I'm a writer actually and the moreover I learn new things the more I deploy them in my life or maybe in my essays and share people, add a new line to my Lessons Learned section of my heart...

Watching movies, popular TV Shows, Animes, Games :)

Music, Movies, and Books

James Blunt, Jewel, Lou Reed, Poe, Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, ELVIS, Cafe Del Mar, Buena Vista Social Club, Buddha-Bar, Paco De Lucia, Astor Piazzolla, Norah Jones, Damien Rice, Eric Clapton, Coldplay, Scorpions, Beatles, Ben E. King etc :)

I like to go concerts and live performances and dance nights of course... Maybe you may find me in a bookstore :)

Steinbeck, Charles Bukowski, Ayn Rand, The Odyssey, The Crucible etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was a teenager, me and Family were on a trip to Cennet/ Cehennem holes /caves (Heaven/ Hell caves) in Mersin/ Silifke, Turkiye. Heaven and Hell are two big fascinating holes from surface to underground. One of them is full of trees a green fresh one with a little shiny waterfallinside and the other is full of rocks, deeper with bats :)

A long journey from surface to underground with thousands of stairs in Cennet you may see a lot of interesting things. I had put a little coin under a rock and written my name there. After 15 years I've gone to the holes with a trip and my name, my coin under the rock was still there! Believe in miracles :))

So listened the famous song "stairway to heaven" after all :))

Teach, Learn, Share
