READ FIRST: Couchsurfing is for travelers who want to share experiences with other travelers. If you send me a request and a) have not filled out your profile or b) offer no explanation as to why you want to surf with me, specifically, I will probably refuse your request.

I recommend against sending a request more than 2-3 weeks in advance. I won’t accept your request unless I’m sure I can host you, and it’s hard to commit to that more than a few weeks in advance.
Also, we prefer that surfers stay 1-2 nights.

I live in Ballard with my roommate Katelyn. We both work full time jobs, so we are not always free to spend time with guests.
I speak French fluently and some Spanish and Italian. Katelyn speaks English.
Some popular topics in our household include language, politics, how weird but cute our cats are, and skin care.

Je parle français couramment et un peu d'espagnol et d'italien. Katelyn parle anglais.
Des sujets de discussions populaires dans la coloc sont les langues, la politique, le fait que nos chats sont bizarres mais mignons, et le soin des peaux.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I started CouchSurfing with my mom during a European backpacking trip in 2011. Later, I lived in France for 3 years and helped revitalize the Limoges CS group. Now I'm back in Seattle and mostly hosting.

Je suis devenue CouchSurfeuse avec ma mère pendant un voyage de backpacking en Europe en 2011. Plus tard, j'ai vécu 3 ans en France et j'ai aidé à revitaliser le group CouchSurfing à Limoges. Maintenant je suis de retour à Seattle et je peux accueillir de nouveau.

Books: Harry Potter. Plus anything that passes under my nose.

Movies: I LOVE L'Auberge Espagnole, and I have a guilty pleasure for terrible chick flicks.
J'adore L'Auberge Espagnole, et j'ai un "plaisir coupable" pour les comédies romantiques.

Music: Lots of people say they listen to "all kinds of music" but they don't mean it. I actually do listen to everything from chill acoustic music to rap, bagpipes to jazz, Edith Piaf to trashy hip hop. The only real exception is screamo.

Beaucoup de gens disent qu'ils écoutent tous les types de musique mais ils ne le pensent pas. Moi, j'écoute vraiment tous, entre la musique acoustique et le rap, les cornemuses et le jazz, Edith Piaf et le hip hop. La seule vraie exception est le "screamo."

I have picked figs by headlight in Italy, danced myself to happiness in Seattle, jumped in to the Mediterranean at the calanques in Marseille, hiked Arthur's Seat in Edinburgh, and been surrounded by people and friends I never could have imagined I would meet. I have appreciated moments where I have seen, heard, smelled, tasted, felt, and LIVED with every fiber of my being.

I'm also learning a fourth language, so that's pretty cool.
