About Me

Hey guys,

I'm a 28-year-old travel addict from Germany who just finished her studies this year (2016) and is on an open world trip with her boyfriend. We spent the first three months of our travels in South Africa and will continue to Australia for work & travel to finance our further (so far unplanned) trips.

Before studying I was an Au Pair in Washington, D.C. and San Francisco. I also worked as an intern in Singapore and studied for a semester in New York City. As this is still not enough for me (and probably never will be) I decided to go on another - longer and unplanned - trip together with my boyfriend. We just booked a one-way ticket and will see where it takes us.

We are both super easy-going, open minded and happy to meet new people and make new experiences.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It doesn't matter where in the world you are, you ALWAYS meet great people - and I think CouchSurfing just makes it easier to find them ;)

Interests

I love traveling and almost everything that comes along with it (except bed bugs). I also want to improve my surfing and spend more time above than below water - as so far I'm pretty good in getting washed ;)
I love music - but can only play the flute. Genres are mainly Indie, Alternative and some Punkrock. But I'm open to other genres as well (used to be a big hip hop/Eminem fan in my teenage years ;) )

  • concerts
  • festivals
  • wine
  • beer
  • running

Music, Movies, and Books

Music varies from Angus & Julia Stone, Ben Howard, The Kooks or Bon Iver to Jimmy Eat World, Rise Against and Bring Me The Horizon and some German stuff.

Movies is a tough one. I'm more a tv show junkie - I basically watched every show there is ( - however, I quit Game of Thrones after the 3rd season, as my little peace-loving heart couldn't bear to see all the violence. Yeah - I'm a softy at heart.)

Books - Eating Animals by Jonathan Safran Foer. Made me a vegetarian. But don't worry - I don't judge any meat eaters and will not tell you what happened to that poor little chicken on your plate before it got there.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There are so many amazing things you see and do while traveling. I get over-excited whenever I spot a dolphin in the water. I also love the feeling when surfing - I just don't get this feeling too much haha. One day..

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can make a really great omelet for breakfast. And I obviously can teach some German. Also, there are always travel stories to share :) - and chocolate!
