About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Grow as a person in every possible direction.

ABOUT ME

I'm not the typical carioca. I don't go to the beach very often, don't dance samba, don't play football (soccer). I'm more of a guy who enjoys playing video games, going out for alternative/indie rock parties and going to a bar to have some beers and talk, sitting down at a sidewalk table. Well, that's not all I do, but it's most of it. That doesn't mean I wouldn't want to go to the beach, it's just not a habit.

I've come to a point in life where all I care is balance and self-awareness. The more I think I'm already through the Dark Ages of my life, when you're the result of the environment more than a true individual, the more new ideas, principles and aspirations take shape in my mind.

Being ambitious involves the urge for growth in all aspects of existence. Professional, spiritual, social, familiar and so on. Being wealthy is not enough, maybe desirable yet unnecessary. I would never be ashamed for the lack of money, but I'd certainly be ashamed for the lack of humanity, kindness and good will.

PHILOSOPHY

“To understand the evolution of the world is a search that can keep us young forever.
-- We All Want to Be Young

I struggle to find happiness in life my own way. Each one must find it's personal path to it and respect each other decisions on how to do so.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted some people and absolutely loved the experience and want more! I've also surfed some couches and can't think of any other way to travel right now.

I'm very excited about making part of this, hosting people from all around, getting to do stuff together and to know people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have to say the most interesting thing that happened to me while couchsurfing was staying for some days in a squat, in the Netherlands. The ideas and ideals that were shared, the lifestyle, the generosity, the community, it's all so beautiful and inspiring. Something I will tell my grandchildren about, for sure.

Interests

In general: gathering friends, bars, restaurants, alternative parties.

When travaling: museums, exhibitions, architecture, parks, churches.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

While doing a short euro trip I sat down in a park in Paris for reading a book while I waited for my host to arrive home. I had been traveling for two weeks already and the changes (for the better) in my mood, self-awareness and my joy in general were so great that I realized I had to keep traveling as much as I could for the rest of my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to whistle while inhaling, or with your fingers. I also can teach a bit about jump rope, though it'll have to be theoretical since I'm all out of rope right now.

I'm always willing to learn about cooking, recipes, ingredients and stuff. Not that I'm good at it, that's why I need to learn.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Belgium, France, Germany, Mexico, Monaco, Netherlands, Spain, United Kingdom, United States
