ABOUT ME

My name is Oskari, I am originally from Finland but currently living in London. In my childhood, we moved around a lot with my family and I grew up to love living in different places, travelling and meeting new people. As an adult, I have kept on travelling, working and studying in different countries for shorter or longer periods of time, and I enjoy it a lot.

I'm a relatively calm person who likes to be around people and I would say I'm pretty open-minded and I love good conversations and new experiences!

I've hosted many people in different places and I consider myself a good host. I like showing people around and telling about places from my perspective.

I like to listen to people's stories and I also like to help people with their problems.

That's probably not "all" about me but I will leave it at that for now - Just ask me if you have any questions!

I host, couchsurf and take part in weekly meetings and language exchanges.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted many people and surfed myself in different countries and each time has been an awesome experience. I have also regularly participated in weekly couchsurfing meetings in different places I have lived in, and taught and learned languages through the CS network.

I love the fact that CS experiences are completely different each time but all are amazing in their own way.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I could say lots of things, but I first thought of this - one time when I was scuba diving I was surrounded by the singing of humpback whales, that was quite amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

One can practice a language with me or vice versa. I can tell you random fun facts about stuff and teach you magic tricks with cards. I think everyone can learn something little from people they meet if they keep an open mind.

I myself like to learn about the life of other people and different cultures. I like hearing people's stories and learning different points of view to things that we take as given. I also enjoy practicing languages with people. And I'd like to learn food recipes, plumbing, flying a helicopter... actually I'm pretty much wanting to learn anything!
