ABOUT ME

Hello there, I'm Laura.

I have a bit of an eccentric sense of humor and style. I usually dress in large old mens sweaters from thrift stores and boots (especially doc martens!).

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'd love to spend an afternoon and get coffee with you in town while you're on your travels. Also, I plan to do some traveling this summer and get to states I haven't seen yet.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a huge Woody Allen fan. I also love Directors Wes Anderson, Stanley Kubrick, Michel Gondry, Tarantino. etc. Music taste is all over the place.

I conduct a radio show weekly with my cohost featuring themes., I love indie, alt. , & punk. To name a few bands: Beach House, Lemuria, Simon & Garfunkel, Belle & Sebastian, Dead Kennedys, Bright Eyes, the Smiths, etc.

Frank Zappa is the man [hense the username].

I read constantly (I'm an english major; I love literature). I love I read constantly, usually two at a time - one fiction, one non-fiction. I love the beat generation writers, Kerouac first off, as well as Ginsberg and Burroughs. Hemmingway is fantastic. Sylvia Plath's words are incredible. And I think Virginia Woolf was too beautiful for this world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sang Solsbury Hill on the top of Solsbury Hill in Somerset, England a while back. And I'm not even a Peter Gabriel fan but it was such a beautiful sight.
