CURRENT MISSION

Enduring hard re-entry to the UK after 12 years living in East and Central Asia. I'm excited to be back and engaged in all-consuming PhD study, but miss the peripatetic life and would like to meet other expats, ex-expats, nomads and itinerants of all stripes.

Cat-bothering, coffee-sipping, meat-dodging, indoor-gardening book addict of the shire.

Also slowly but surely researching and writing a thesis on the visitor experience in war museums - academically I'm interested in public history, memory and how representations of the past are used in the present.

I hosted a number of times in my lovely flat in Astana and surfed once in Turkey. I hope to continue to do more of both as all of my experiences have been very positive so far.
