ABOUT ME

Hi.

I am an artist and promoter of art and music and am looking to expand my horizons to include more places including the art and music there. I also have a private practice as a holistic Health consultant and help people to live a healthy lifestyle. I am non smoking, like nature, the beach and any place I can hike, bike or be outdoors. I enjoy good food and lie what we call California Cuisine- high quality food with and international flare. I am currently traveling. For the last 3 months I have been working in India and am not in Europe until June 30. Maybe we can meet up for coffee.

I was traveling and getting to know people. Now I am home and happy to host CS surfers when I am here, During the Summer I am often gone at a festival or conference! so please give me enough notice or you may not hear from me right away. Its a good idea to rent a car or be ready to adhere to my schedule as I live 4 miles out of town on a vineyard. Its beautiful here.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

wow! Great! Everyone is so nice. Thanks for showing me around your town or city and being a great host. COme see Sonoma County- the land scape is like Italy (sort of) with great wine.

Interessen

Art, Music, dance, Festivals, family, hiking, biking and good times, good food and good friends!

I always have stayed with friends,and family when I travel. This experience of having an insider who can show me around and share food, and interests with has been essential. Really, I make a terrible tourist, because who cares unless you have someone to share the experience with? I just seem to loose motivation to see attractions that everyone sees without a friend!
Much better to share experiences, food and even logistics! I like to network, see live music, dance, and am very spiritual in nature- so I appreciate temples, churches and places of worship. I also like to see the big attractions from a unique perspective. Let's go! I love coffee in the morning.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I have been involved with the festivals of the West Coast of the USA, and if you check out the kind of music at High Sierra Music Festival and Harmony Festival- I like that stuff! Live music is best and I enjoy shows. Much of what I like are smaller acts who still have fresh energy and are passionate about what they do, but I appreciate the old classics and top people as well. I am always on the hunt for sounds that make my ears happy. For big stars I listen to Bob Marley, India.Arie, Sarah Mclaughlan, Robbie Robertson, Tracy Chapman, Prince, Gwen Stephani, Yoyo ma, Deva Premal, REM, Pink Floyd, the Grateful Dead ( again LIVE) Is Lotus big yet? I am a sort of talent scout and am always curious. I like the communities around music, which brings us all together in peace.

I have a degree in art and consciousness as a specialization. My painting teacher was Chester Arnold who is a social realist. I am interested in POP culture (think Warhol) and also in graphic arts, illustration and Photoshop. I really like the tactile quality of tradtional media abut focus my work on computer and digital media as a photographer.

I like paintings and drawings and of course Photography. I really like surrealism, like Max Ernst, magritte, Leonora Carringtom, Remedios Varo, also Chagall, Miro, Bosch. This list is too long to mention but you will enjoy investigating the list if you don't know them. I am enjoying the steam punk movement inAmerica right now, and Indian Minature art!

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

I have just been in India for 3 months. WOW! I went with the Create Peace Project. Createpeaceproject.org to see the blog with my photos.

One of my favorite experiences was the first time I went to India, I went to the Kumbh Mela. 70 Million People, the largest gathering of humanity on earth. While I was there I was in a camp of westerners that included several film makers and media people. Many of us became friends. One of the crews who we became friends with was working on a feature film about the Mela. I was very lucky because Nick and Maurizio made a wonderful film that is a perfect encapsulation of my trip to the festival of 70 million pilgrims from around the world. You can see it in action for yourself! It is called "Short Cut to Nirvana" Google search it and watch the trailer,and order it if you want, or rent it from your local video store. The experience inspired me to go pro with my photography, and best of all the film crew including Nick's wife Carol moved to my town from New York and England! True story- I met them in India! They now host a conference called the 'science and non duality conference' each year in Marin Count, California, and it is a perfect opportunity for you to come and surf my couch and attend! They are just releasing a series of discussion interviews which I would guess are on the Kumbh Mela website.
