About Me

G'day! I'm from Tasmania, the little island down the bottom of Australia.

Travelling is my one of my greatest passions. I did my first big trip through South East Asia in 2013-2014, visiting 11 countries over 14 months. It was never my intention to stay so long, I just fell in love with the Asia. In early 2015 I set off on my Europe Trip. I ended up spilling into the Middle East, the Causcaus, and Central Asia, my Europe Trip becoming my Eurasia Trip. I went home in late 2017, finishing on day 1000, having visited 78 countries.

To me the purpose of travelling it to explore new places, to experience new cultures, to learn about the local history and inhabitants, and meet amazing people.

I little bit of my philosophy; most people, whether they know it or not, live to work. They are a part of the machine that is society. Working, paying taxes, paying bills, paying off a mortgage, providing for a family. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with the above mentioned, some people are extremely happy living life this way. I know you may not see yourself as living to work but that is what it amounts to. You must work to make your world function. This is how I see a lot of people around me living. They work so they can get their paycheck and make the wheels go round. For me that can wait. Opposed to this is working to live. You still need to work to make money, but its not in control of you. You're free, at any time you choose you could drop everything and go on a crazy adventure. Every dollar you earn goes toward getting you closer to your dreams. A mindset or a reality? For me, I want to see as much as this amazing planet as possible!
