ABOUT ME

I am currently pursuing my doctorate in chiropractic in California. School is pretty intense but I love the things I am learning about and can't wait until I can really start serving people. I have a background in massage therapy and the healing arts and my current education is taking this to the next level. I am particularly passionate about Network Spinal Analysis. My

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am generally pretty introverted, observant and easy going. I tend to be a bit of a wallflower when I am with large crowds of people. Nevertheless, I love meeting new people and hearing their stories.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Unofficially couchsurfed in Valdez. Had a wonderful experience couchsurfing in Haines, AK, Marin County, CA and Boulder, CO. I have done quite a bit of traveling though and have been fortunate enough to have friends in many different places.

Music, Movies, and Books

I could just barf out a bunch of my favorites here but I would much rather talk about the details in person. I look at movies, books and music primarily for their enduring artistic and human qualities.

Movies-Most everything in the Criterion collection

Music-Classical, Jazz, Folk, Techno (when I am at a nightclub), and Bon Iver

Books-Existential literature (everything from Dostoevsky to Camus) and most classic literature (I have never been able to get into Jane Austen though or Dumas)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Almost touched a white tail deer...

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you a litany of stuff about health, diet and body care, I can teach you the following: basic survival skills (fire, shelter, cordage), some basic medicinal and edible plants, tracking stuff (gaits, etc.), how to bake bread, make a killer Thai Curry, brew a delicious batch of beer, barefoot running technique, ashtanga yoga basics, how to play didgeridoo (or trombone), how to analyze of a piece of classical music, how to listen to a piece of music...on and on and on. Note that pretty much everything I know pertaining to survival skills and ethnobotany is limited to the Northwest. I am working on expanding my knowledge base.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can totally hook you up with some CST, network entrainments, cook a fabulous meal, share a great conversation, jam together (on my uke) etc.
