About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To travel the world and meet people!

ABOUT ME

Hello, my name is Chris and I'm a 24 yr old full time student. I'm interested in computers, geography, cultures, politics, art, and plenty more of what life has to offer. I enjoy meeting people from all backgrounds; the majority of my friends come from different parts of the world with their own unique beliefs. This has made me a very curious person and I sometimes find myself getting lost within Wikipedia or any book learning about them. Due to the nature of my workload, I try to make the best of any free time I have. So when I can, I travel!

PHILOSOPHY

The Golden Rule.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm currently a new member, and the best way for me to participate is via word of mouth and networking. This is how I ended up at the website; through a news aggregator community. Currently I do not have a couch available, but will be able to host after the summer.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't couch-surfed but I did rent a condo with three of my friends through Airbnb. I'll never get a hotel again, that's for sure!

Interests

I think I'm interested in everything. Everybody is unique and I always look forward to learning.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies... too big of a list. My favorite ever would be Gladiator, followed by Coming to America then Goodfellas. (Need to fit in the mob movie somewhere!)

Music... classic rock, hip hop, and video-game music.

Books on current events, history, geography, religion, political science, and biographies on people who made a difference.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was at the Rally to Restore Sanity! That was awesome - I got to meet all kinds of good-hearted people, made new friends, and was involved in a movement I continue to believe in with millions of others. That event broke the Washington D.C. subway ridership record - it was jam packed and unforgettable.

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, first of all this is a great concept. This is the future of travel, where strangers become friends. After reading about it I want to become part of it.

The best I can bring to the table is my experience thus far. I have a story to tell just like you do, with where I'm from, where I was raised, my parents, the wars, etc. The most important knowledge I can share would be honest answers and any questions you had if you were interested in coming to Detroit, or learning about my background.
