ABOUT ME

SALUT! Je suis neuneu grands! Je suis un étudiante de l'université. J'habite en San Francisco et j'habite le quartier de Mission. J'habite ce quartier depuis deux ans.

I'm a thinker, I think a lot. I have this tendency to come up with theories to explain people and why things are the way that they are.I'm trying to learn how to crochet and knit (ah!) I feel odd when someone asks me what my "interests" are because it varies per day.

School is kind of...my life. I like studies, researching coming up with theories and ideas to explain people, reiterate this I suppose. I want to get two M.As (one for fun in southern culture studies), the other that relates to my B.A. I also want to get maybe two phDs that relate to my work as well. The thought of writing a paper on something nobody has ever written about excites me to the furthest extent.

I'm excited to take Calculus this fall. I'm dorky.
------
Je parle française.
I'm vegan.

I'm an American student studying abroad in Aix-en-Provence next spring. wheeeee.

PHILOSOPHY

I learn something from everything, and nothing is black and white. It's sappy to say this but I've been through A LOT in my life and have come to a conclusion that negative experiences are more valuable than positive ones, because I get more out of it and appreciate more afterward.

Music, Movies, and Books

music:such a broad question! Some albums I adore: The Blue Album(Weezer), Television(Television), Souvlaki(Slowdive), The Wayward Bus (The Magnetic Fields)...Cat Stevens

books: The Portrait of a Lady, Wuthering Heights, Sense and Sensibility, Lolita, The Virgin Suicides, Pulp, Ham on Rye, The Great Gatsby.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Redwoods up close and personal was pretty fantastic, I don't think I've ever smelled air that clean before.

Ridesharing has recently left a big impression on me, stopping in small towns and realizing how kind and generous people in small towns can be...oh so amazing! Risk taking...is awesome.

-summer 2004:driving around and through the hills in Salzburg, Austria. I had one of those perfect-soundtrack-to-the-moment moments. It was to "Women's Realm" by Belle and Sebastian. I hope to experience another musical moment again in my life!

-I'm going to the 150th anniversary of Gettysburg in two years, I really cannot wait for that!
