About Me

It has been a while CS, and now that the worlds have opened up, both mine and the literal, I am looking to reintegrate this community in my experiences.

Updating this profile is nostalgic and amusing. I will leave what still tunes true but most likely in a less “yell at you through the screen “ style of optimism. lol

I am still an Artist, aspiring Musician (instruments really get the best of my disciplinary habits or lack there of), Vocalist, and Hula Hoop Dancer.

I have allowed my secret passions to take way in these later years leading me on an intense learning journey into the worlds of Sidereal Astrology, Shamanism, and the Tarot.

Career wise, I have been planting trees all over western Canada for 4 years. I am also a professional Tarot Reader.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I seek to love people. And I want to know more of them and gain some real genuine experiences and connections to their loved perspectives.

I love the idea of getting to know a place by meeting the people who call that place home.
I trust humans more than travel brochures, and more so, humans who aren't paid to be kind to me.

I am curious and excited to learn what makes you happy about where you live.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies:

Girl, Interupted. P.S I love you, The Freedom Writers, Away We Go, The Reader, Adam, V for Vendetta, Imagine Me And You , Schindler's list, Life is Beautiful, Gia, Two Night Stand, Push, Spotlight, Sleeping With Other People etc.

Music:

I love music. preferences on genre have faded over time with the exception that MOST country and metal is not meant for my ears. If I am chosen to project sound from a speaker, The bands frequenting my playlists are:

Deva Mahal, The Teskey Brothers, Son Little, Andreya Triana, Matt Maeson, Trevor Hall, Omar and the Eastern Power, John Craigie, Maggie Koerner, Chet Faker, Leon Bridges, Moontricks, Kolinga, Bon Iver, Black Pumas, Alabama Shakes, Foy Vance, Colter Wall, Tyler Childers, Deca, Wiley from Atlanta, Kai Straw, Fat Freddy’s Drop, Dennis Lloyd, Anderson Paak, Tash Sultana, etc.
Really anything with a tight harmony, good vocals, soul and witty lyrics.

Books:
I read mostly in study these days. so books on astrology, the tarot, dreamwork, Shipibo Shamanism and other forms, plants, etc. I also have some poetry books for my Venusian cravings - That of Rumi, The Radiance Sultras, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My deep dive into plant medicines over the last 6 years has lead me and healed me through so much trauma and resistance to myself. The journey is very much still happening as life always is, but my self awareness, forgiveness and self love that is being birthed through this process is creating the foundation for everything, and everyone I encounter in the remainder of this life to hold some shade of amazing.

and no, I am not naive to my privilege, the shitty things in life and the hard times we all experience - some so much worse then the others - but speaking from the only honest place I can, that of my lived experience.

magical experiences are amazing to me.

Teach, Learn, Share

There is no point in getting upset over something that you can't control. Consider joy and curiosity towards the harder experiences.

know your boundaries and hold them as it is a violence to your essence to abuse the space you need in order to illuminate your corner of the world.

Knowing without embodiment is a tricky game. You can be full of information and “educated opinions” but from my perspective and experience - if you have all this without lived experience and integration of such, it all winds down to ego constructs and judgement of the opposing.

If your intention for retaining knowledge isn’t coming from something of good, consider questioning if it’s truly serving you or the other. Be grateful for the life lessons you have been fortunate enough to learn. consider shifting them into service for the community you resonate with.

Life is impermanence, annica.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am happy to keep the space clean whether it's a mess I've made or one they didnt have time to clean up!

I have lots of stories of travels, and experiences to share, I'd love to show they how to make a method of my art if they are interested, I'd also be glad to hoop dance for my hosts, show them some cool stuff. most people are pretty pleased with this!
