About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to continually create and share

ABOUT ME
I've moved around a bit but I guess I would be considered a Virginian since I've been here most my life? I'm not hosting at the moment, but am totally down to meet up and show you around Richmond! It's an awesome town with a lot to do, see, and eat.

I love creating and making art is one of the most important aspects of my world. I studied art history and studio art in college and afterwards spent a lot of time learning ceramics. Recently, I have been working and living as a full -time ceramic artist (www.butternutpress.com) and I also teach adult classes at a local non-profit arts center in Richmond!

I love the woods, hiking and any activities involving nature. I spent some time living in the Bahamas working towards becoming a divemaster and that was really awesome! I haven't had a chance to hit the waters since then, but am definitely trying to get back into the ocean for some fishy action in the near future.

Traveling is really important to me and I love going on roadtrips and camping around national parks and exploring the variety of landscapes out there. This world is truly awe-inspiring!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My experiences so far have all been really great!

Interests

Reading, creating, yoga, hiking, walking and cycling. Art is very important to me and I spend most of my time making art in some way. I have a small business making and selling functional ceramics. I just set up a home studio and it's really great to play with clay all the time! My dog likes hanging around the studio too, but has recently developed a bad habit of eating clay off the floor thinking it's food.

I'm also interested in painting, bookmaking, cooking, brewing tea and hosting tea ceremonies, going to the river, hanging out with dogs.
