About Me

ABOUT ME

I think that traveling is the best education on the planet. I adore trying new things (especially new foods) and meeting new people. I believe each day is unique and holds a special value, life is only mundane if you allow it to be.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is a journey and an accumulation of each success and failure experienced along the way. I don't regret the failures because they've helped to refine my character. I think it's important to have big dreams, but it's even more important to put your dreams into practice and try to make them happen.

Now for some bumper sticker wisdom... "Dissent is the highest form of patriotism."

"The one thing that doesn't abide by majority rule is a person's conscience." Harper Lee, To Kill a Mockingbird

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've met up with a few people in my hometown and I've surfed in Athens and on Crete. I've enjoyed both experiences.

Interests

I love nature...the sights, the smells, the sounds. My favorite activities are hiking, swimming, fishing, runnning, canoeing and waterskiing. I like people-watching at outdoor cafes, reading for hours at a time, and taking spontaneous road trips. I'm a speech and language pathologist (if you don't know what that means feel free to ask, I'm completely passionate about my career).

Music, Movies, and Books

-Mostly indie/folk music, but there's a time and place for every genre.
-I love to read! I'm always in the middle of a good book.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Taking a helicopter ride to the bottom of the Grand Canyon was breaktaking. Hiking Mt. LeConte (a mountain in Tennessee) was one of the most incredible views I've ever seen as well.
