About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To travel until I get sick of exploring. This could take a while.

ABOUT ME

I'm a kiwi farm boy at heart. I grew up on roast lamb and kumara (sweet potato), so expect alot of that if I ever cook for you.

I think CS is a great way to get to know the locals and have an authentic cultural experience. My favourite cities are Berlin and Iloilo, because I had awesome hosts.

I'm currently traveling through SE and South Asia meeting up with friends along the way.

PHILOSOPHY

If I can spend the rest of my life seeing the world through the eyes of the people I meet on my travels I will die a very rich man.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted many surfers in Auckland and am now experiencing the world as a CS guest.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't had a bad experience so far. Every CS member I meet has their own quirks. I love exploring their towns and getting to know them.

Interests

I love intelligent conversation with creative people. I live life with an open mind and an open heart. It takes me to interesting places and I meet interesting people.

I don't travel to see the sights, I travel to experience new cultures.

Music, Movies, and Books

I read a lot while I am traveling. Everything from biographies to classics.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Getting peppersprayed while holding off a Hong Kong police baton charge with an umbrella in 2014.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd love to learn about your life. I can share stories about sheep.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I try to bring gifts from whever I have come from, but I travel very light so don't expect much.

I usually cook a New Zealand meal for my hosts. Lots of meat, baked veggies. Cheese sauce. Red wine. Farm food!

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Austria, Cambodia, China, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Indonesia, Malaysia, Nepal, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, Tonga, United Kingdom, United States, Viet Nam
