ABOUT ME

Adventure addict. Not only about travelling, but about the whole lifestyle as well. While still studying in the university back in Moscow, I'd decided that I was craving for a big change in my life. That is how I ended up here, in Barcelona, and yeah, that was four years ago! Four incredible, extraordinary, the happiest of years that made me who I am today. I'm finishing my studies this year and ready to explore new horizons;)

I guess I’m an open-minded, laid-back and easygoing person, always open to new things, especially those that challenge me. I love new experiences, discovering new places and meeting people (you must be kidding!:)) Also enjoy goofing around as much as I love to share a cosy chat or a brisk discussion about pretty-much-anything.

Oh, and I love all things creative! I'm quite into photography (you can see my pictures here http://www.flickr.com/photos/yuliasyresenkova/) but also willing to try myself in different creative projects

As at the moment I don’t have an opportunity to host because I live in a shared flat. But I’m more than willing to have a coffee or drink (with some tapas and a good chat!) with you and show you some of my favorite spots in Barcelona if you happened to be around:)

I've already spent some good time with surfers in Barcelona, showing them around and met up with wonderful couchsurfers in Lisbon.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love reading, so it's not easy to name my favourite books cause they're quite a few! Probably, it's mostly classics (especially 18th-20th century), but I do enjoy contemporary books as well.

Same for movies, I guess...Damn, I'm definitely not good in picking up "favourites":) I tend to enjoy movies that have a great idea behind them, movies with quirky humour and those with weirdos as protagonists:)

Less talk, more rock! 60s-70s rock, indie and jazz are always in my iPod. A good gig is always appreciated!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Dalai Lama's teachings in India were very inspiring! Nature in Iceland is stunning. Also I was blown away by the beautiful night sky full of stars in my first night in Tanzania!
During my last trip I fell in love with Koh-Rong island in Cambodia.
