About Me

I'm currently living in East Africa and working with a clean cookstove manufacturer/distributor. I have a really enjoyable role working on expansion of the business to new markets in Africa. My life ambitions are to have fun and be a good person.

While work keeps me pretty bogged down during the week, I enjoy meeting travelers and offering whatever help I can. Currently being hunkered down in Nairobi, it's fun to experience some travel vicariously through you! When I've traveled to new places, I've found how helpful it can be to find some local hospitality and knowledge, and so I'm happy to offer up the same when people roll through Nairobi.

For surfers around on the weekend, I'm happy to share some of my Nairobi experience. If you're staying during the week, I'm at work most of the time and won't be a very 'active' host, but I'm still happy to share my place and some stories & meals with you, if you're a self-sufficient traveler and that works for you!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My first experience with Couchsurfing was travelling the US for the summer of 2013, doing quite a bit of CSing along the way. It was an amazing experience, and I loved making new connections and seeing the hospitality of other CSers!

Couchsurfing for me is a way to share the spirit of travel and hospitality and meet interesting people from around the world. Everyone who has hosted me, and the other surfers I've met, have all been exceptionally friendly, helpful, and all-around awesome people.

Teach, Learn, Share

If you ever want to do something mountain-y, I can also probably help out. I've picked up a lot of experience backpacking, climbing, and hiking over the years.

I'd love to absorb some tacit cooking knowledge from people! My level of cooking interest far outweighs my cooking skills.
