I am Volkan from Istanbul. In 2010, I moved to Vienna for university education and moved back to Istanbul in 2016. I am a computer engineer and working for The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey.

I am not here to save many, I love to couchsurfing's amazing cultural exchanging concept.

I am a camper and like to spend my time on nature, forest, seaside, mountains also in kitchen. I love cooking :)

If you come to Istanbul, I would like to host you in my flat. I have separate room and you can feel like in your own home. Its in Pendik, Asia side close to subway and Sabiha Gökcen Airport.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to visit; Peru to try Ayahuesca Tea. If someone tried, tell me your experiences please.
want to go India to visit Auroville, maybe we will meet on the way one day.
I want to live in Argentina when I am retired.

As I said, I am not here to save money I just like to friendship and culture of couchsurifng. Also, I like to spend my time with local people and local places, not just touristic. While I am travelling, I want to feel myself like in my city.

Interests

I am a Drone pilot and like to taking videos and photos from sky.
Forests are like my home.
I love football like lots of men, I am a fan of Trabzonspor and trying to go all games in Europe. If someone invite me to stadium to watch a game, doesn't matter club, I can accept it. I love that atmosphere.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2014 I went to forrest to ride bicycle in Vienna around 14.00.. After 2 hours I was tired and wanted to rest for a while and opened music from phone.. I felt asleep and when I opened my eyes it was 19.40. weather was fucking dark and I lost my way. My battery was around 7%.

I called my friend, shared my location and started to walk with bike and hear some dogs's voices not far away and every minute voices started to come from closer..

Actually this is a long story if you want to listen I will tell it but after 3 hours I met with my friends out of vienna in another district.
