About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Teaching, travelling and making friends :)

ABOUT ME

Easy going and open minded. All about life being a journey and not a destination. Love to meet new characters, the zanier the better! Love to drink coffee and gin, love to dance, love nature.
I do a lot of work with children and am currently teaching my way around the world.
Recently started practising Buddhism.
Just moved back to London after a year in Ghana.
Currently in a house share so sadly I can't host :( but always up for a meet up :)

PHILOSOPHY

It's not about weathering the storm, but learning how to dance in the rain.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My friend introduced me to couchsurfing, she hosted some awesome people when we were living together in Bristol so decided to join up!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Awesome couchsurfing boat party around Istanbul.
Finding instant friends wherever I am.

Interests

Love getting lost in new places, love food - cooking and eating! Love a bit of good music - from psy trance to folk and everything in between, trees and mountains and oceans, having a quiet drink drink or a big party, being with good people, laughing, walking, reading, great films and trusting strangers.

Music, Movies, and Books

So many, books: The Buddha in Your Mirror, Cloud Atlas, Americanah, All Quiet On the Western Front, Things Fall Apart, Ulysses, The Other Hand, Life of Pi, Kite Runner, His Dark Materials trilogy, Pat Barker Regeneration trilogy, Jane Eyre, Wuthering Heights, Birdsong, Daniel Deronda, Mrs Dalloway to name a few.
films: Amelie, Little Miss Sunshine, Casablanca, Life of Pi, The Hangover - it just tickles me, Dirty Pretty Creatures, anything that makes me think or laugh.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Interrailed around Europe, Climbed Kilimanjaro, taught in Thailand and Cambodia, ran a playcentre for children with disabilities, teaching in Ghana. Made friends with people from all walks of life.

Teach, Learn, Share

On oldie but a goodie:
“Life is short, break the rules, forgive quickly, kiss slowly, love truly, laugh uncontrollably, and never regret anything that made you smile. Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” Mark Twain.
