About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Physically, to travel around the world;
Mentally, to become a truely global citizen.
Spiritually, to find my own god, to leave something behind, to love, to forgive, to live and let live.

I left home in China early Oct 2016, and have been on the road ever since. My plan is to travel as long as i can, and set foot in every continent and experience every different culture.

ABOUT ME

Vamos a ver dónde me lleva mi viaje.

(English)

I am a 100% born and raised Chinese. I was brought up in a traditional Chinese family and educated in typical collectivism oriented schools.

But i don’t want my cultural background to define who i am as a person. Like any of the other cultures, Chinese culture has merits and downsides. I am happy to see myself inherited some traits, like diligence, tolerance, adaptation and resilience. But it has prejudices, bias and limitations as well, and i don’t want them to confine who i am as a human being. I hope my mentality would transcend borders and differences and see things in a more objective but humane manner.

They say: 20 generations from now, there is no Blacks, Whites or Asians any more. Everybody is all mixed. There is only one race, that is, human being. I would love to live that long to see it happen. After all, we are back to the starting point of where we are from: we are just one big family!!!

As an individual, i would like to think i am a woman of soft heart but tough mind. I am sensative, observing and emotional, believe it or not, sometimes saying goodbye to my hosts or guests, i have tears in my eyes. Things small but significant move me. When pushed to my limit, my easy-going deposition would be changed.

My sense often wrestles with sensitivity in the reality. Meanwhile i am constantly learning, self reflecting and evolving. It might make me sound like a complicated person, but if you know the zodic sign of Scorpian well, you will have a better idea about what i am talking.

I am a people person. I like to interact and build connection with people. My energy comes from interaction and inspiration with others. Sometimes there is a fine line between building connection and being too friendly and nice that people(esp. men from certain cultures)might interprete it differently. I am still learning how to do it well.

Though i am the extroverted type, i need significant time alone to center myself and make sure I am moving in a direction which is in sync with my values.

I am now living with three passions: TRAVEL, SALSA and READING. I love them and try to do often. Travel defines me. I try to travel as much as possible, and at the time when I am not able to travel, I like to have you as a traveler to come to my place and share your stories. Salsa uplifts me. It is musical, sensual, sexy, exciting, a perfect way to express myself artistically with beats and moves. My dream is to travel in Latin America, and now i am living in my dream. Reading completes me. It nurtures my soul. I love my own reading time.

I always want to learn a musical instrument too, but I guess it is never too old to do so. Actually the older you get, the richer life experience would make you appreciate more. So I can patiently wait until the right moment comes, maybe at my 70s or 80s to learn guitar, piano or chinese guzheng. Who knows?

Thats all for now:) I am waiting for you to find out who i am, and tell me if there is more…

PHILOSOPHY

We are one big family.

I am tired of having courage to be different.

Now or never.

The further you travel, the less you know, the less you really know.

A tree is removed, it withers and dies; a man moves, he lives and thrives(树移死,人移活)

What matters is the quality of time we spend, not the quantity.

Falling in love with my host when travelling in South America, and got married with him!!! And We are still in love!!!

Living in Qatar and working for the Doha Asian Games Organizing Committee;

Visiting Everest Base Camp, and standing at the feet of Himalaya ranges, which seemingly like old grandpas looking over all our human beings;

Paragliding at Pokala, Nepal;

Visiting Cayo Miskito, Nicaragua, where people live in the middle of the Carribean Ocean, without one inch of solid land, 70km away from the mainland, the place is literally a paradise;

Exploring Amazon jungle in Iquitos, Peru, fishing and eating piranhas, catching a caiman at night and most unforgetably having Kambo ceremony.
