ABOUT ME
It's always a bit funny writing about yourself...but here we go, a little glimpse:
I'm half German and half Peruvian but have lived in London for most of the last 8 years. I like meeting new people, listening to their stories and talking about god and the world, maybe over a coffee or beer while watching the world go by. I love dancing my heart out and seem to be talking to cats a lot these days. I can also talk about food to the point of making myself and others hungry even if we've just eaten something - not sure whether that is a good or a bad thing...The good news is that I'm a decent cook so problems like this can be solved swiftly.
At the moment, I work as a cheesemonger in a food market in London while looking for a 'proper' job with a human rights organisation. The market job is so enjoyable though that I'm not sure I actually want to work in an office again...we'll see what happens.

Music, Movies, and Books
I LOVE music! From folky stuff (Alela Diane, Rodriguez, Leonard Cohen) over hip hop (Jurassic 5, DJ Shadow, IAM, Bonobo), electronic music (Nicolas Jaar, LTJ Bukem) and dub (Rhythm & Sound) to 60s soul/jazz (Nina Simone, Lee Moses) and post-/punk (Warpaint, Gogol Bordello) and Balkan beats. A bit randomly, I also have a particular faible for slightly psychedelic 60s/70s rock from places like Iran, Cambodia and Pakistan.
FILMS: I generally like good independent movies. A few long-time favorites: Amélie, La Haine, The Edukators, Transsiberian, O Brother where art thou!, The Dreamers, Motorcycle Diaries, The Battle of Algiers. I've surprised myself with how much I enjoyed the Star Trek and X-Men films though :)
BOOKS: The Secret Garden, Wide Sargasso Sea, Shantaram, White Tiger, The Dice Man...more authors: Haruki Murakami, Herman Hesse, Paulo Coelho,
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Saw Macchu Pichu. Made bonfires. Climbed through a giant net of ropes for several hours. Understood music. Laughed and danced my heart out with friends. Built a snow igloo after having a snow ball fight with about 100 people... It's not only the big stuff but the little moments that make you feel alive.
Teach, Learn, Share
Maybe languages? I can speak English, German and Spanish, also a bit of yoga and Tango Argentino. And I make a really good lemon & lime cheesecake :)
