Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I host people who are interested in the authentic experience of life. Learning, sharing, and teaching all of the ways we can help ourselves to become more proficient, productive and united as travelers while reassuring ourselves that the world we live in is actually pretty cool ;)
It is also nice to offer a more economical and natural way to promote travel, rather than spend on over priced hotels that deny you the social atmosphere, and it makes sense to have the basics that are otherwise purchased using other conventional methods of travel.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've only met considerate, intelligent, and open minded people on Couchsurfing and because of it, artists, musicians and performers etc. who before couldn't afford such travel can finally share in advancing cultural diversity and new experiences with the rest of world. It's like the flipside of conventional travel styles that dominate the travel industry and in turn presents cultures abroad in a more authentic way.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Pretty lucky in this area. I once had the opportunity to introduce the music of Manu Chao to coordinators of the North American festival circuit and soon after watched him headline before 40,000 fans at the Austin City Limits Music Festival.

Teach, Learn, Share

Spanish, English, Music and food recipes are all pieces i’m happy to exchange. My friends tend to consist of true musicians and wonderful people to learn from as well. Good wine, spirits. I have very practical skills for experiencing daily life, and having a purpose to share makes all the difference.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Musical companionship (brought my acoustic guitar), Language lessons, LOTS of amazing food (I cook), network and enjoy helping. I'm connected in the music scene/ entertainment industry so no matter the location entertainment is not far away (concert tickets etc.) and am always good about splitting costs/being recourseful etc.
