About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Try to get everything done before my (south)america-trip starts!
Learning spanish! (I think this will take quite some time..)

ABOUT ME

Well, it is not really easy to describe yourself, but I would say, that I am a friendly and down-to-earth german girl :) Perhaps a little bit shy at first but if I get to know you - that will change fast ;)

I travelled with my friend through australia with a van. Visited a lot of cities in Europe. And at the moment I am working at a research institut to save money for my next trip.

I have been living in Magdeburg the last three years. Since 2012 we are living with four people, so I know how to consider other persons, try new things (e.g. food and sports) etc. Today my three roommates are my best friends! So that worked out pretty well ;)

PHILOSOPHY

If every single day will never be the same, a single minute can´t be waisted. (Subways)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first CS experience was in australia. I stayed with a couple. They lived in a beautiful landscape and took me to a small zoo with all the domestic animals :)
Last year I stayed for two weeks in Valladolid, Spain. I really made new friends there. With one of them I have been to Berlin this october, visited all the touristic spots and went to a concert. We had a great weekend and just because of CS!!
I hope to get to know more people like them, have fun and learn new things. It is great, if the hosts have time to spend but I totally understand, if they have to work etc. But I think even to get a few insidertips helps a lot to "see" the cities not just as a tourist.
Unfortunately we do not have a spare room or a comfortable couch to sleep on in our students apartment, that's why it is difficult to host people at the moment.

Interests

Of course I like to travel and see new places (like almost everyone here).
Also I am interested in sports. I am playing volleyball back home, running (just sometimes), used to go to gym, ball games on the beach, tried the slackline - but failed ;)
I love to just walk through a city, free-city tours (really funny and informatory), watch people, walking through the nature, hang out in a park, enjoy the sun, watch the stars, sunsets and sunrises or just enjoy the landscape ... and a thousand other things. I am not really someone who is into art-museums, especially modern art (but I do like science museums or well done historic ones).
I also have a good time just to sit with friends together talking, having some drinks, cooking, eating, listing to music, watch a movie, playing games...as well as going to concerts/festivals or sports events.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies:
I like happy-end movies (romantic comedy), dramas and some (crime) thrillers, but no science fiction or just shooting kind.

Music: Something between rock and pop: Die Aerzte (German), Coldplay, The Killers, 3 doors down, Gaslight Anthem, Beatsteaks (German), Kraftklub (German), Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Kings of Leon, L.A. .. but also Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera or Abba, Simon & Garfunkel .. and since the concert Damien Rice (thanks to my spanish friend :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Australia!

Teach, Learn, Share

Well of course my native language german. But otherwise I wouldn't presume that I can teach something but I am more than willing to share my travel experiences, I like to cook together, and whatever arises.
Learning.. I think you can learn something from everyone in the world because of his/her life experience.

Australia, Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Malaysia, Netherlands, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, United Kingdom, United States
