About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To connect with people around the world

ABOUT ME

I am a compassionate vegan who loves nature and the outdoors. I am interested in permaculture for a more sustainable future and would be happy to talk about my experiences volunteering on organic farms (wwoofing).

I enjoy visiting historical places from ancient stone circles to castles and cathedrals. I love going to art galleries too.

Other interests include going to live concerts and festivals, camping outdoors, reading and sharing experiences with like minded people.

I would like to learn more about massage and other healing practices.

PHILOSOPHY

Living in a way which leads to as little harm or suffering to any being.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: John Steinbeck is one of my favourite writers (esp The Grapes of Wrath, Of Mice and Men and The Pastures of Heaven). I also love Ralph Waldo Emerson. Other favourite writers include: Elizabeth Gaskill, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Robert Frost, H. G. Wells, George Orwell and Bill Bryson.

Music: A bit of everything , including: Interpol, The Editors, A Perfect Circle, The Offspring, Steeleye Span, 3 Daft Monkeys, The Smiths/ Morrissey, The Cure, Hayseed Dixi, some classical and bluegrass etc

I also love Bill Hicks!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It is all a perception of mind. Everyday can be amazing if you take the time to appreciate what appears to be the smallest of things.

But here's one... after getting drunk at a bar in Ireland (when I used to do that kind of thing...) we were about to call it a night when we got chatting away to this Canadian couple. They were headed off to Blarney castle, Cork to take part in a naked art installation for Spencer Tunick. It sounded like a great idea -- until we found ourselves sobering up, naked and in a field with 1,000 other (naked!) people! Going with the flow can lead to interesting and awesome experiences :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I studied Ancient and Medieval History, so I can tell talk to you about that, as well as share with you the skills and information I am currently learning about organic farming and permaculture!

I also love to cook and bake - I would be more than happy to share a few vegan recipes!
