ABOUT ME

I have permanent itchy feet and think that traveling is the best way to inform the mind and feed the soul. I'm from Ireland, but have spent the past year plus traveling in the US and central America, stopping for a while in California but on the road again. I'm currently studying and living in Barcelona.
I also like meeting new people and discovering new things, but I am always glad to have a home and family to come back to at the end of my adventures.

PHILOSOPHY

I guess my personal philosophy would be to try to learn as much as I can in the short time I have in life, although I dont think your philosophy should become your dogma, so I will leave that one open to chance and change.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have met some wonderful people through couchsurfing who have since become life long friends. I also love it just for connecting with other travelers and strangers in a strange land. It has been a life saver for me every time I have moved to a new city.

Interests

I like cities, just walking around and exploring. I also like going to see live music, of almost any type, I am up for it even if its not what I would listen to at home, I always get enjoyment out of the buzz of a live band. I also like going dancing, again the music genre doesn't matter, I'm not a music snob and will dance to almost anything.
I also like reading a lot, and try to pursue my interest in art and literature and philosophy, although since I finished college its been a little more difficult to sit down and read academic books in my spare time.
I love photography also and used to always terrorize my friends trying to take photos, but havent been able to so much recently since my beloved phenix camera broke. I'm still looking for a replacement.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Driving through the wilds of Arizona with some members of my distant family was a profound experience, we were going to see the Grand Canyon, but I was just as struck by the amazing dramatic changes in landscape along the way, expecially the red rocks of Sedona, a place I hope to return to and lose myself in.
Sitting in silence with fifty other people for an hour, watching the sunrise over Tikal from the top of the largest pyramid was pretty magical.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you about contemporary art, or about Ireland. I would love to learn Spanish or another language which sadly is something I have not managed to do so far in my life. Any new skills would be appreciated!
