ABOUT ME

Couple who live/work in Herndon VA (small town 20m/30km W of Washington DC). Involved in dancing, bicycle club, astronomy, volunteering, exploring, travel 3-4 wks/yr & can host 2-3 people.

We are 23 miles/35 km west of Washington DC.

We've traveled throughout the U.S., Europe, Canada & Mexico PLUS Africa, Costa Rica & East Africa. We try to travel 3 - 4 weeks annually.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We volunteer at a local homeless center, belong to a bike riding club, like swing and salsa dancing, travel 3-4 weeks annually, and joined several Couch Surfing and MeetUp groups events.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Fairly new to CouchSurfing and have met six couchsurfing members. We've had many people stay and live with us over the years from different cultures (Thailand, Japan, US). Stayed in many hostels in U.S., Canada & Europe over the years.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Attended Obama inauguration with 2+ million people & Christmas mass at the Vatican. Been scuba diving w/150 sharks & stoned by young boys in Jerusalem. We've also had several close grizzly bear encounters in Yellowstone & Glacier National Parks in isolated areas!
