About Me

CURRENT MISSION

mutual transformation of myself and the world

ABOUT ME

*** I'll be in Nice France until the 20t*****I live for life's absurdities. Since I was a little girl, I've always felt restless and full of wanderlust. Others describe me as laid back, funny, and intelligent. I generally abide by the philosophy of the late great Mae West: "You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough."

I am from Southern California in the United States. I am currently studying painting in Florence, Italy for ten months (until July 25th 2012). Until then I'm kicking around Florence.

Missions in Life:
Find Europe's best tasting beers. I might need to break this down by types of beers.
Learn more about wine.
Have adventures.
Go to the South France.
Go to the Dali Museum in Figueres.

PHILOSOPHY

"No tears, no fears
No ruined years, no clocks." - The Doors (20th Century Fox).

Life is too short to wallow in sadness or curl up in terror. My personal philosophy is that you have to fly in the face of fear and do things you are afraid of. A little sadness in life is expected, but so is boundless joy! Sometimes one just has to bathe in the sunshine and feel the wind on their cheek.

When life gets you down, you have to bounce back!

When it comes to people, just know that I love people. I love people and I love to get to know people so I might start asking you a lot of questions because I'm generally pretty excited to learn all about you. I love to figure out what makes people tick. This may involve teasing you to see how you react. I mean it all in good fun.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm new to CS, but I'd love to meet other people who have interesting stories and are down for adventure. I'd love to meet up for coffee or a drink and meet fellow travelers!

I'm definitely interested in organizing meet ups in Florence.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

At first I was pretty scared to use CS. But now I've met some really cool people through it. It's more than just finding a place to stay. It's a community. It's a home away from home. It's awesome. Some day I will actually surf on someone's couch.
