ABOUT US

We are an easy going couple from Canada. We really like meeting new people from all walks of life and hearing their stories about their travelling adventures and where they come from. Kat has done a lot of traveling and found Dave when she moved back to Canada. Dave will soon join her in traveling outside of North America!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW WE PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Kat has been a host, and has surfed. She has gone to couch surfing events. Dave is new to couchsurfing and is excited to experience it soon!!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We are excited for future experiences with couchsurfing. In Kat's experience with hosting, it's been great to learn about the people that she hosts and their culture.

Interests

We both love comedy, hiking adventures, boardgames, hanging out with animals of all kinds...especially dogs. Kat is a musical theatre nerd and loves acting. Dave has recently gotten into playing D and D with his friends in Canada and loves it!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Some of Kat's travels:

Went to Mardi Gras in New Orleans the year the Saints won the Superbowl. Non-stop celebrations! :)

Went jungle trekking to a waterfall and slept in a traditional Rungus longhouse within the Borneo rainforest. Nothing beats sleeping to the sounds of the rainforest just outside of your room.

Ended up staying overnight in a boat in Kinsale, Ireland because I booked the wrong night at a hostel and there was no other affordable place to stay, except for a boat. It ended up being a great experience and was the best breakfast I had in Ireland, and with a group of friendly locals. :)

Attended my first 10 day Vipassana meditation course. Learned so much from the experience and would recommend it to anyone! It's free and is offered in many counties around the world! One of the best courses I've ever attended. ❤️

Teach, Learn, Share

Kat hopes to teach others about what she knows about the the places she has lived. Both would love to learn from others about their insights, perspectives on life and where they come from.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We can offer to help hosts clean up around the place or help with yard work!
