About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Meeting new people, making new friends, practicing spanish & languages! :)

ABOUT ME

I'm an elementary school teacher who loves and lives to travel and experience new things and meet interesting new people. I had the amazing opportunity to travel around the world for a year a few years back and since then I've just been waiting for the chance to up and leave again.

PHILOSOPHY

Every experience is a learning experience. No mistakes are pointless.
Good things come of everything, wisdom often comes from pain.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Bertrand Russell, Boris Vian, Margaret Atwood, Philip Roth, Haruki Murakami, Isabel Allende, Charlotte Brontë, Jose Luis Peixoto, Tolstoy, Dostevksy..
Music: Modest Mouse, Tegan and Sara, Interpol, TV on the radio, The Dandy Warhols, Cake, Sublime, The Smashing Pumpkins...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Road-tripping in the US with my family as a kidTrekking across the desert in TunisiaThe Ozora festival in Hungary..
Spending time in the Amazon (swimming -and peeing, not knowing you're by no means supposed to- in it), in Peru: Iquitos is by far the most magnetic place I've ever seen, a crazy mix of myticism and spirituality, corruption and decadence.. It's fascinating and draws you in, I can't wait to go back!
Eating the best meat in the world in Buenos Aires, dancing and drinking in Rio during Carnaval,
Working in a hostel in Cusco...
And Bolivia! Amazing in itself!

beautiful experiences!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd be more than happy to exchange language lessons! I speak French and English fluently, and am trying to learn Spanish at the moment!I can also teach you how to cook some French and American specialties, and would love to learn how to make various dishes that I haven't yet had a chance to taste!I'd also be keen to swap literary and musical references, I can point you to some great reads and artists, and vice versa! :)
