CURRENT MISSION

ABOUT ME
We are a married couple who tend to travel overseas often and work hard when we're at home. We thought our travels may have been slowed up slightly with the birth of a daughter in 2013 and a boy in 2014 but we have still had several overseas trips since.
We used to say we would eat almost anything and will sleep almost anywhere but now with kids we have to think about them as well.
We are ALWAYS busy and have to make time for events and activities. Not the kind of people who just work a 9-5, have weekends off and routine.
We do go to church on Sunday mornings for an hour or so. If you are a guest on Sundays you are welcome to join us or do your own thing, no worries either way.
PHILOSOPHY
Keep on livin' the dream.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies.
-I like all the well scripted action moives like Seven, Fight Club, The Shawshank Redemption and Lucky number Sleven, Black Hawk Down, Lord of War, The Last King of Scotland, American Beauty, Hurt Locker and Inglorious Bastards as well as the classics like Trainspotting, Full Metal Jacket, Pulp Fiction and Forest Gump.
-Suminda likes movies like Love Actually and The Prince of Egypt and any movie with black men dancing that has a happy ending.
Music.
-I have varied taste but enjoy bands such as Audioslave, Foo Fighters, Superjesus, Metric, The Butterfly Effect, Rolling Stones, Smashing Pumpkins, Pearl Jam, The XX and Kings of Lion. But really I enjoy most genres including Classical and Jazz (just not death metal or to much teen pop).
-Suminda likes Usher and other Black American R&B singers who wear their hat backwards and dance with no shirt.
Books.
-I like educational books. History, Travel, cultures etc.
-Suminda likes books with a happy ending.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Been to the Cuban side of Guantanmo Bay, kicked back in Fiji with my cousin during the 2000 Coup, rode solo by motorbike around Laos before it became a tourist destination, travelled 10,000km around Australia in two weeks for a bucks show, 24 hour sun in Iceland and the Artic circle, travelled to the worlds highest waterfall by dugout canoe in Venezuela, lived in Timor Leste during the 2006 troubles and been the first white person most kids had seen in remote parts of Papua New Guinea. Making it to North Korea in 2014 before the throngs of travellers was a great experience.
Suminda lived in Cusco, Peru for more than three months learning Spanish and working in an orphanage while Jono caught the Trans Mongolian to China and then kayaked around 2500km from Luang Prabang in Northern Laos to the South China Sea in Vietnam.
Teach, Learn, Share
We would be happy to share our knowledge and experiences of the places we've travelled. South East Asia and Europe in particular.
Suminda is always happy to share her knowledge as a midwife. I'm more into cooking, gardening/farming, building/renovating/woodwork, viticulture and winemaking.
