About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to become the long-lost, very much younger sister of The Nicholas Brothers

ABOUT ME

Creative and curious! I live to dance, sing and travel. I try to be as openminded as I can, and I love to meet new people. My current goal is to volunteer as a dance teacher in development countries, so I can combine my love for dance with the one for travelling.

I´m told that i am talkative, and funny sometimes(often unintended though. Fun for others i guess...) My guilty pleasures are shoeshopping, chocolate, "sex and the city", wine, ben and jerry`s and bothering my neighbours with loud singing/monologue-practise!

My thoughts are often occupied by the contradictions of life: trying to live a sustainable lifestyle in an industrial country, to travel as much as I want to but not pollute, how to speak my mind without offending, why dogs are more special to people than the equally intelligent pigs, or chickens and cows for that matter (I figured out that one, eat none of them!), how to combine hard work with hedonism, how to eat as much chocolate as I want to without getting fat (yeah, that`s a big one:P).... I am finding it hard sometimes not to be a hypocrite, but I am doing my best, I think :)

I am a real city girl, but as I grew up beneath the mountains, nothern lights and polar nights of Tromsø there will always by an inner nature child in me... :)

As mentioned below, I am not normally able to host, but feel free to send me a request and I`ll see what I can do. However, I will NOT respond to copy-paste messages! please make the effort to write a personal request and tell why you want to stay at my place, as CS is not just a way of traveling for free, but about getting to know people and places on a deeper level then normal tourism.

PHILOSOPHY

I`ll go with the bohemians; freedom, beauty, truth and love.

"Life is what happens to yo while you are busy making other plans." True words, Mr. Lennon.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I host if I can, and is always up for meeting CSers for a coffee, drink or a walk/hike in Lillehammer.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I`ve hosted quite some surfers in Oslo, and surfed in Denmark, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, France, Hungary, Croatia, Italy, Ireland and England so far. Can`t wait to surf more couches in new countries :)

Interests

Dance in all styles and forms! Closest to my heart is tap and jazz dance though. And music, singing, theater and arts in general.

Food and nutrition is fun, I like baking and cooking. I am also into superfoods, and drinks smoothies made of weird green stuff from the sea, raw cocoa and strange oils every morning:P You are welcome to taste!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I`m quite easily impressed, and I forget things very fast... So there is probably a thousand things I could put here that I`ve forgotten already. But teaching dance to kids in Nicaragua, watching the sun set in the Gambia, making (or at least contributing to) a living as a bar singer in Barcelona, growing up under the northern lights, tap dance busking, and having people I call my friends in quite a few of the corners of the world are all things I`ll always carry with me.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some moves i guess, and how to make chocolate pudding from avocados. I am not the preaching kind, but if you want to learn about vegetarian lifestyle I can go on for hours.... (Tell me to shut up if it gets boring, I`m not easily offended :P)

And I would love to learn about anything! Especcially french, portuguese and practice my spanish. And any other language really:)
