PHILOSOPHY

Ever read the poem "If" by Kipling? That about sums it up, except for the whole one day being a man part.

The poem "Ithaca" by Cavafy is also a great one.

兴趣

Pastries, traveling, ping pong, yoga, running, green and white gummy bears, reading, libraries, Art History, eating exotic fruit, strategy games, 10-Ks, tea/coffee, hanging out with friends (going for the obvious here), solving puzzles, talking to engaging people. I really like to learn new things and I don't mind making a total ass out of myself. I once took a Modern dance class where I was asked to "be a unicorn". It was glorious. What I really mean to say is that I try to be open minded and I'll try just about anything at least once.

I collect books, and spend more time collecting than reading these days. A few of my favorites are Don Quixote, Jane Eyre, To the Lighthouse, most things by Ovid, Fooled by Randomness, The Social Animal, Buffett's Shareholder Letters, Harry Potter, Steve Jobs Biography, Fairy/Folk Tales, Greek/Roman Mythology... the list goes on...

Drinking coffee in maid cafes in Tokyo, hiking in Interlaken, sandboarding in the Sahara, singing in hostess clubs in China, eating fresh baked croissants in Paris, sleeping in on the weekends, flying a kite in India, catching and then consuming shellfish in Scotland, walking through bazaars in Istanbul...

It doesn't always have to be exotic though. Sometimes I like to just grab a coffee, and people watch in Central Park.
