About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Live, Learn, Share.

ABOUT ME

Family road trips and National Geographic magazines sparked my love for travel.
I've spent summers in Mexico where I have family and have also studied and lived in Argentina for over a year.
In past lives, I've been a farm/ranch hand, military dental assistant, laboratory technician (toothmaker), and field Emergency Medical Technician where thankfully I wasn't sent to or scarred from war.
A study abroad trip to South America sparked a greater interest in learning more about other cultures and people. It also was a transition period where I went from wanting to become a dentist to wanting to learn more about the world outside the dental office and search for a career that is compatible with my desire for mobility. I enjoy connecting with and introducing others to each other. Maybe, it's a diplomatic thing?

PHILOSOPHY

The Golden Rule.

And,
Enjoy life the best way you can and if possible, help others enjoy it as well.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies:
Independent, actual stories

Music:
Mostly Latin American music, but I defintely enjoy a variety of other styles. Live music is most pleasant.

Books:
Unfortunately, not as many as I should read. However, I do enjoy reading about all sorts of subjects.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Jumped into the cold Aare river of Bern, Switzerland. Better than into the local Bear Pit! lol (2010)

Slept in the attic of a Venetian hotel. (2010)

Drank beers in a cliff-side bar with a bunch of jolly old chaps while on my way to Pablo Neruda's house in Valparaiso, Chile (2008)

Drove through over fallen and frayed powerlines, only days after hurricane Emily ripped up the highways of Northeastern Mexico. (2005)

Rode the bus across the spectacular Andes Mountains for the first time. (2005)

Teach, Learn, Share

I definitely enjoy sharing tips about places traveled.
Help with Spanish.
Dental hygiene advice. I could make you a gold crown, ortho appliance, or even dentures! (lol)
I cook a bit, but all I can brag about would be my salads and sandwiches.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Monaco, Netherlands, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Uruguay
