About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Visit as many Europeean cafes as possible!

ABOUT ME

I'm a girl from New York, and lived in Boston while studying. I love to hop around cities and towns and explore all there is in this world. So I hope to move around this summer and explore even more. I like being goofy or having a good party- I like to have fun, what can I say!

I'm not fussy at all. I think people waste too much energy on having a negative outlook so I like to keep a smile on my face as much as possible!

At heart I'm all for the DIY movement, in music and also in all aspects of life I like to keep things simple, natural, and just enjoy myself. Being not too materialistic, I am the kind of person who can travel the world with just a backpack. I'm an adventurer but I still love those nights in snuggled with a good movie and popcorn and friends. Or sharing a tasty beer or with a new friend can always be a fun way to learn about people and places.

I like to make bets and competitions out of everything, even simple video games, because it always makes things fun!

For a while I worked at an environmental group and saw how much of a bad impact people make on the environment- or how much people's actions can make a difference. So I try to protect the earth. I am also vegan so I don't eat anything from animals- but I would never force another person to have the same beliefs. Differences are what make the world go round! I'd love to have a chat with you about this or anything else you'd like to know. I think its good to discuss your beliefs but what you feel and do is ultimately your choice :-)

PHILOSOPHY

We live life to enjoy ourselves, while connecting with people and giving back to those less fortunate then us. It's important to have compassion, and an open-mind to things you do not know because the world is such a big place. The way you do something may be the best, but it may not be. Be true to yourself, and true to what you believe in, and open to whatever may come your way- then all will be good :-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

This is all new to me, so I'm trying it out. I have more to learn for sure and I hope to host people when I can in the near future.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Was couchsurfing in Paris and met the coolest people!! So I hope to continue with the good experiences.

Interests

Music is a big thing for me; making music, recording music, listening to music, it's all good! I love when people are passionate about a hobby or idea and they show it to me. From walking outdoors and taking bike rides, to playing video games inside and having the chats, I just like to enjoy life.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't get to the movies as often as I would like to anymore but I love the classics. Jurassic Park and Armageddon kind of classics, and old Katherine Hepburn classics too. But I really like watching films by people I know who have made them and put the effort in.

I like to read though I don't read too much because school took up most of my time the last year.

And I love all kinds of music- especially local NYC bands and Ska bands (my favorite! check out Big D and the Kids Table if you don't know what ska music is, they're a great modern Ska/Punk band) But I also love the Mountain Goats and Kimya Dawson, Yelle, Two Door Cinema Club and The Thermals, Good Goo Dolls and Paul Simon... so show me your favorite group!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Ask me and I'll share with you. This list keeps changing too frequently to write 1 thing down...

Teach, Learn, Share

I don't know what to teach about since I'm a beginner, but don't ever not do something because you need to do it alone. I traveled abroad for months solo, going to concerts and just meeting people, and it was the time of my life :-)

Countries I’ve Visited
