ABOUT ME

I think I should say that I am a person who likes discussing the most serious issues of world politics but also who enjoys casual chat. I am interested in foreign cultures and languages, history, politics which led me to choose the department of political science and international relations at marmara university, from which I have graduated in February 2011. After having worked at Turkish Ministry of Customs and Trade as an EU expert for two years I have decided that Istanbul was the only city for me and quit my job in Ankara. Right now I work for a United Nations agency and enjoy my life in Istanbul :)

PHILOSOPHY

Well I dont think that life has an inherent meaning. People are attributing meanings to it. The meaning I attribute to life is humanism and to fight for human dignity.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I can say that Couchsurfing has changed my life. Thanks to this site I've met many cool people from all around the World with whom I am still in contact. I also had the chance to host some people in Ankara and Istanbul which were quite good experiences.

Interests

Music and all kinds of arts, social sciences, meeting new people, philosophy, discussing, laughing, making friends, learning, doing sports, reading...

Music, Movies, and Books

I have some favourite movies such as Braveheart, Men of Honor, Land and Freedom, Germinal, English Patient, The Reader etc. I like based on a true story movies.
In terms of music my priorities are Turkish Folk Music and Classical Music but I listen to everything that sounds good to me.
Some of my favourite books are Crime and Punishment, My Name is Red, The Green Mile, Martin Eden, and all books of Zülfü Livaneli.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach Turkish, how to play Bağlama, I can advice the best places to see in İstanbul, would love to guide foreigners in the most beautiful city of the world:)I would like to practise English especially with native speakers, practise and learn more German before I totally forget it, learn the French language which sounds very nice to me:)
