About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To roam where I want to...

ABOUT ME

My friends say that I'm fun, bright, bubbly, clean, and tidy. They also like to say that I'm awesome, but that's their word, not mine. ;-)

I can sometimes be a bookworm. I love coffee and tea. I love the world of the arts (music, stage, crafts, pencil, pen, paint, etc.) I love to sing. I love to laugh. I truly love being a teacher.

PHILOSOPHY

Live to learn. Learn to live. Love all.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hadn't done much except create this profile and answered a few emails. I hope to meet able to meet new people. I can't host yet, but I can totally meet for coffee (or some other refreshing beverage).

Recently I was hesitant to jump in full-force with this site, but since I will be living in China until at least 2014, I thought I'd make a new commitment to it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had numerous of couchsurfing experiences back home in California, but they weren't affiliated with this website. They were mostly with family and friends (particularly during my university days).

Interests

I love music, art, dancing, and just plain celebrating life.

Music, Movies, and Books

If it has words, I most likely want to read it. I'm currenly reading "The Field" by Lynne McTaggart.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Visiting the Longment Grottoes in Luoyang, China. Amazing and so precious!

Looking over Victoria Harbour in Hong Kong. Just gorgeous.

Volunteering for a group of foster homes for children with special needs in Jiaozuo, China. The children were just amazing and a great joy to be around.

Renovating a school in New Orleans (post-Katrina) with 200 other future teachers.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm an English teacher. I love learning anything new, so I'm open to discourse about pretty much anything.
