About Me

I am an intelligent, interesting, lovely woman of 46 fabulous years. I love to travel, garden, cook and watch movies. I love to have a good time and meet new people... And of course I'm a traveler and Gypsy!

I have hosted many times now, in my own home and another time (with his permission of course) at a fellow couchsurfers home while house and doggie sitting for him in San Diego.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is about developing relationships, whether on a personal or professional level.

and one of my fave quotes:

Your levity is good, it relieves tension and the fear of death.

-Terminator III

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I LOVE to feed people, so all my hosts and guests are sure to get a good meal or two. I also love to meet new people and learn about different cultures and beliefs. I have attended a lot of CS events while traveling the coast in 2012 and I hosted two activities I had posted as camp-outs in June and July of that year.

I have taken a lot of pics, written a lot about my adventures and made TONS of new friends! But of course I can't wait to get back out on the road to explore and discover... I recently went on a cruise to mexico which obviously doesn't include CS in any way but it was an awesome fun time! In February and March of 2019 I'll be traveling through Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand... I also want to backpack India for a year to celebrate my 50th year on this planet!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had the great opportunity to host quite a a lot of times now. I have couchsurfed with many hosts and have been nothing but enchanted by peoples good hearts;) I have cooked a lot and tried out some new and interesting recipes on my new CS host friends (fish ball soup YUM) I have been taken out to great restaurants and pubs, heard great music, been given awesome tours and made life-long friends! I've also attended a lot of CS events and activities and can't wait to get back out there to enjoy more new events and meet new CSers!

So far this couch surfing gig is turning out to be an excellent experience!

Interests

TRAVEL! I love to cook and feed people. I love stinky cheeses lol! I enjoy good music of all kinds (except country because that's NOT good music) and most of all LOVE to laugh.

I'm an outdoor person and love to hike, bike and camp. I read a lot and enjoy doing research. I'm also a super gardener and spend lots of time planting things and working in the yard.

LOVE, LAUGH, LIVE with everything in me is reality :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Oh man that's a tough one. I am a HUGE music fan, everything from TOOL to Milo Davis. I have a play-list on shuffle and loop in my head at all times! I also love to read everything from POP culture to romance novels, Dean Koontz to Jack Kerouac and pretty much any movie on any kind of screen has my vivid attention (I love Tarantino, Rodriguez and Ritchie and also sci-fi!)

I am also a writer and someday Author, keep an eye out for my first book, "Where the Fuck Were the Mimosas?!"

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It's ALL amazing!!!! I have SOOO many amazing, hilarious stories to share. Too many to type here. And I'm an engaging and talented story teller to boot! I backpacked the west coast in 2012. By myself, on foot most of the way, with a 60 lb pack (it got lighter as the miles wore on lol) four months from San Diego CA to Snohomish WA. That was a pretty amazing journey!

Teach, Learn, Share

Peace, Love and Laughter... and food!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Good food, cheap wine and stinky herb! I'm also a fantastic tour guide and have info on lots of stuff to do in my area. Four dumb but lovable dogs and a cat who thinks she's a dog and one more fluffy cat who's just dumb. Lots of amazing and hilarious stories.
