About Me

I'm a student in Copenhagen coming from Hungary. I am in the middle of my semi gap year writing my thesis and traveling the world.

But what kind of guy am I?
Well, I like to party with friends (sometimes to start the dancefloor by myself) & sometimes I just spend a full day binge-reading a good comic in my cosy room.
I like to debate and have philosophical discussions & I also like to go camping in the woods caveman style.
I organise and facilitate innovation workshops to solve challenges of the financial industry & I enjoy playing crazy board games and double up bad jokes with even worse puns.
I do yoga, and interested in spirituality & on the other hand, I am learning about traditional psychology, social dynamics, negotiation.
I enjoy live jazz concerts & I can party hard with a gang of bearded rockers listening to Irish pirate rock.

So, what kind of guy am I? Maybe, one who enjoys many aspects of life. ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Traveling with CS is a special unique experience. Of course it is cheaper, but the main thing is that you get to experience a hidden side of a country that you could not by using Airbnb or hostels. Some of the my nicest memories of my roundtrips are the CS experiences.
For example, in Wein a guy taught me how to juggle with clubs. In Brussels I learned french and been to wacky underground concerts. In Amsterdam, my host shared the most crazy travel stories while she was knitting teddy bears!!

Interests

- Guitar, mostly latin & medieval stuff + jamming with friends.
- krav maga, which is a self defense system.
- I'm keen on dancing salsa.
- started to dance contact improvisation + learn electroswing.

Update:
- After years of partner dancing, I got more and more interested in hiphop, toprock and electro styles.
-By day, I am organizing and facilitating innovation/brainstorming workshops to solve the challenges of the financial industry.
- I started to do debating and improv comedy.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Ex Machina, Interstellar, Black Mirror series, Fight club, The prestige

Music: all kinds. Van Canto, John Coltrane, Ludovico Einaudi, Swedish new metal, liquid trance. Update: Chillhop, chillstep, funky, breakdance music

Books: LOTR, Wheel of time series, The first law trilogy, Business and personal development books. Update: Ain't nobody has time for that... Maybe in July. My bucketlist of books is getting too long.

Comics: Very few superhero ones, more of the - too radical/deep//complex/awesome in visuals to put on screen types.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was hiking in Poland with a group of friends. We've started a very long trip up in the mountains and had to embark on our adventure early to have enough time for the long kilometers.
I was barely awake climbing up on the narrow mountain path when I saw movement in the shrubbery. It was not the knights of Ni, rather something brown & furry.
It was a BEAR. Not a cute one, like in the Winnie the Pooh, it was a huge, brown, thing eating berries right in front of us. I was scared like hell, but I've told the others to be calm it's no time for photos... Just back away...
Luckily the bear was more interested in his blueberries than us so everything went alright. It was a once in a lifetime experience. I hope...

Teach, Learn, Share

I am always interested to learn new guitar tricks, dance moves and recipes.

Check my interests. Most likely, I can teach something from there. ;)

If you can teach me some new dance moves, teach me to cook a cool national dish of yours, or simply you are passionate about something and can tell good stories of it then it is definitely a plus to host you. 😎

What I Can Share with Hosts

Check the "My Home" tab.

I can also show you around town or at least suggest cool programs to attend.
If you are lucky and be here on a pancake night, you can join our merry dorm crew for some lighthearted chat, board games and waffles.
