About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Big things happen in big cities... I'm trying to catch them!

ABOUT ME

I've been in France since 2009 for a PhD, and I'm here to stay. I'm looking forward to seeing the world, learning new languages (I'm going deep on German and Lebanese Arabic at the moment).

PHILOSOPHY

I think time flies and we all have lots of opportunities let go by in everyday's routine. Ok, I'm not the kind of "live your life to the fullest" vivacious person but I do enjoy seeing something new everyday... everyday time seems to go faster and faster and we all have a storybook hungry to be filled in!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been in a few CS meetups before I officially joined, and figured what better time than this summer to do so :)

Interests

Traveling is probably my main interest. I get to a place and I try to see as many things as we can! We like learning about the place, its history, etc but also knowing the people and partying with them!

I'm the talking type of person, and I'm really interested in listening people's stories... every person is a new world, with their own meaning of being happy and their own challenges.... So I talk and listen a lot, about living and surviving in this crazy world of ours!

Music, Movies, and Books

I grew up listening to lots of rock/metal music, but the people and experiences of my last few years have opened my ears to everything, be it loud Latino music, the american top 40 or classical music.

I love history and geopolitics, and this is reflected on the films and books I like to watch/read. I have a strange interest in WWII, so I'm interested in stuff around it :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last night I saw a rackoon. For the first time in my life.
I almost die in Saint-Malo, France. Also I almost die in Ipanema, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I haven't almost died in my beautiful home country, Colombia :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I love learning about the history of places I visit. If you know how your cuntry/town/neighborhood started, I'd love to hear it! I also love learning new languages (especially German which is my current effort!) and teaching the ones I'm fluent in (spanish, english, french). I enjoy walking people around Paris, so if you happen to come over on a weekend, I'd be up for it.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Lebanon, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Russian Federation, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland

Countries I’ve Lived In

Canada, Colombia, France, United States
