ABOUT ME

As people generally describe who they are by what they like, I guess I am the guy that loves to be outdoor, to explore new places and get to know new people. I am active, cheerful and interested in conscious living. I like to follow my heart in what I do. Last summer that happened to result in leaving my job and studies behind in the Netherlands and moving to different places to be explore new work as a volunteer. This summer I am working as a camp counsellor in the Santa Cruz mountains, teaching kids about some agricultural basics.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I started to use CS a bit when I was travelling through South America. The best thing about it has been to be meeting great people. They somehow all seem to have a profile on CS ;-) And the interesting thing is that it doesn't really seem to matter where on the world you are, because there are always so many things to share.

Interests

For now that is trying to do what I like the most; meeting people, while exploring new places and being inspired along the way!
I also love to go mountaineering and to be walking in the nature anywhere really. I like to do yoga, slack lining and to go cycling.

What interests me is how we could live more as communities, and by sharing more of ourselves, making a better place for everyone. Especially more sustainable systems I find interesting, but driven by people and caring, rather than money.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite film is Mr. Nobody, which I can recommend anyone to watch (it's available for free on YouTube!). For music I like anything that has got some rhythm to it and preferably is instrumental. As long as you can dance to it, it's good!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

So many new amazing things keep coming into my life, that I really can't pick one out. Perhaps that in itself is the most amazing thing about life?!
