About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I am currently a naval architecture student trying to make my dreams as a designer come true. I fell in love with sailing because of what it can offer in terms of stable traveling and adventure. I got bit by the bug so hard I decided to make it my career.

I am also a yoga teacher that loves to teach both new and old yogis. Teaching yoga has been one of the most humbling things iv ever done. I am constantly learning through my own practice and through the guidance of others.

ABOUT ME

Im a double edged sword, calm and collected, but not afraid to go and get lost. I have a true zest and passion for life and everything in it. I try to preserve this miracle that is life and offer back what I can.

I have done a lot of hard work and traveling over the last five years, working in the oil patch offered a lot but also took a lot out of me. Iv seen and experienced many different qualities of life, it has allowed me to choose the life that I want to build.

My passions revolves around the social and the isolated. I love to dance to electronic music as well as live indie and rock, if the music is good I can dance for hours on lemon water alone :P Meeting new people and socializing over coffee, boardgames, local food, and other interesting event are the simple joys in my life. I also love to go and get lost in the great outdoors, I have been rock climbing since I was six years old. Hiking solo as well as with good people make life worth living. I am quickly adopting a minimalistic lifestyle not simply as a solution to my sometimes cluttered life, but because it also aligns with how I believe we are all going to make it together on this small rock.

Buddhism has always played the most important role in my life, offering me guidance and showing me things I could not have possible found on my own. I myself am vegan at home and vegetarian while I travel. I dont judge anyone for their lifestyle choices, I actually enjoying bouncing ideas and offering new perspectives to one another. Last year I went on my first 10 days silent meditation retreat, wow what an experience! I have since only had one drink and dont plan on going back any time soon. The lifestyle that I am no living of eating cruelty free, not drinking, and not sleeping around in shallow relationships has had a profound effect on my life. I am actually still in the settling in process. Travelling for me had dramatically changed as it now has less to do with getting drunk and high and laid. Instead I am now on the hunt for the worlds best cup of coffee, to meet like minded individuals who dare to stand out and offer change to the world, and to get a deep cultural immersion.

PHILOSOPHY

Be all that you can be and never give up, life is too amazing to be siting around asking questions about it. Its not about being in the know, but being in the mystery.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I always recommend couchsurfing to people since most of them either dont know about it or think its dangerous. Im a full time student so I can only host people during the summer time.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Iv been shown around some really nice places in UK, Ukraine, Montreal, and I hope for my next big couch surfing experience to be in Copenhagen.

Last year before my meditation retreat I was hosted in Montreal by the cities most amazing chef, he gladly met the challenge of making me delicious vegetarian food, for that I am most grateful.

Interests

Where do I even begin!! Maybe my biggest problem is that I love to do so much, start it, and then never finish it. So for now all the things on my list I am just going to try and further improve and be consistent at.
