About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Meet new people, eat new things, drink around the world!

ABOUT ME

28-year-old ESL teacher; I occasionally run away from home to teach and travel.

PHILOSOPHY

“The journey is part of the experience - an expression of the seriousness of one's intent. One doesn't take the A train to Mecca.” - Anthony Bourdain

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Meeting new friends, going for drinks, hoping to crash with some folks soon!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Best CS experience was a tiny Mexican place tucked into Sighnaghi in the former Soviet Republic of Georgia. Would never have known about the place if some fellow CS-ers hadn't lured me out there for margaritas and veggie fajitas!

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: I'll watch just about anything, but I love period pieces, sci-fi, and comic book movies the most. Favorite films include L.A. Confidential, the Blues Brothers, anything Marvel's produced, Pacific Rim, and the original Star Wars trilogy.

Music: Eclectic, to say the least. I love artists from Janelle Monae to Vienna Teng, Doomtree to the Gaslight Anthem, Kanye West to Frank Sinatra.

Books: Favorite authors include James Ellroy, Neil Gaiman, Madeline L'Engle, Stephen King, George Orwell, and Lois McMaster Bujold.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Exploring the ancient cave-towns at Uplistsikhe, Georgia, a hundred feet above the Mtkvari River.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: English, where to find good brunch places on the East Coast, how to read Tarot.
Learn: Anything! Show me how to do something you're good at.

Countries I’ve Visited

Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In
