About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To know myself down to the core.

ABOUT ME

I live a simple life in a lovely part of the world. I am much more interested in who people are, than what they have. I like to look below the surface of things and to learn from experience.
I like resourcefulness, creativity, playfulness and warmth in people and try to have these qualities myself.

PHILOSOPHY

Get to know yourself. Honesty starts at home. Your feelings can be more truthful than your thoughts. Listen to your dreams. Love your inner child.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Haven't couchsurfed yet but would like to. I am planning my first overseas trip in years - will be spending some time with my son who is currently working in Kaikoura, New Zealand and hope to do some solo travelling in NZ.

Interests

I am a doll maker working in natural textiles and my work has references to other interests such as, landscape, poetry, music, childhood, dreams, history, fairy tales and mythology.

I also work as a funeral and marriage celebrant and love all things homespun, including ceremonies to mark important moments in our lives.

I love conversation and like to know how other people see the world and what is important to them.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Saw a blazing meteorite falling to earth when I was 11. It was a great big ball of fire, low in the sky and my teacher didn't believe me.
