Have surfed in San Diego, Bangkok, Sydney and Melbourne. Have yet to host!

Have met some seriously charming individuals who made me feel comfortable in a new place with no shortage of good stories!

Interests

I am interested in different cultures, food, photography, documentary film, dancing, books, the outdoors (especially hiking!) and doing how the locals do. And traveling of course.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Some amazing travel moments include: getting lost and living with a hill-tribe in Northern Thailand, climbing Mount Kinabalu at sunrise in Borneo, celebrating Thai New Year in Chiang Mai, crashing a Cambodian village wedding in Chi Phat, mountain-biking through the Cardamom Mountains, crossing the Cambodia-Vietnam border on motorbike and hiking the infamous Kalalau Trail in Kauai! Most recently: hiking the John Muir Trail in 23 days.

Teach, Learn, Share

Some of the things I am especially interested in learning more about at present include: starting a small business, hiking in California, Oregon and Washington, learning Spanish, working on a yacht and living at sea, traveling Central and South America, digital photography, writing, collage and teaching.

Some of the things I can share: stories from travel in Europe and Southeast Asia, living abroad and teaching English in Taiwan, going on a working holiday in Australia, planting trees for money in the Canadian wilderness, skydiving, surviving Grad School and long-distance hiking.
