ABOUT ME

My name's Maddi. I'm 21 and from Australia. I like meeting new people and making new friends. I don't really know anyone in the UK yet, so send me a message if you want to chat! :)

Interests

I really love travelling. You could definitely say I've got the "travel bug" already. When I'm stuck in the one spot I also love going out for a drink (or several) with my friends, new and old. I like meeting new people and hearing their stories. In my quiet time I play way too many games on my phone, or if I've got a good book on hand I'll quickly devour that too.

Music, Movies, and Books

MOVIES: I'll watch pretty much anything. My dad used to own a video store, and has an extensive collection. So I grew up watching all sorts of movies. I love movies that make me think though, or comedies are always good to brighten a bad mood.

MUSIC: I know everyone says this, but I genuinely do like almost all types of music. I may not like every artist within that genre, but I can usually find something I like or at least don't mind.
Bright Eyes is definitely a favourite though.

BOOKS: Anything that's well-written. For me, the topic of the book is not as important as the way it's composed. I love Harry Potter (I know, I'm a nerd) and some other favourite authors include Jodi Picoult and John Green.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

(I couldn't pick just one!!)

1. Partaking in the "Water Splashing Festival" in Jinghong as part of the Dai New Year celebrations. So much fun. I wish my home town did it.
2. Having a wild baby monkey jump on my shoulder at Emeishan. He was absolutely adorable.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am very interested in languages. I have a basic knowledge of Japanese and Mandarin. I would like to learn Latin and French though.
