About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Do as many new things as possible and see as much of the world as I can

ABOUT ME

Easy-going and friendly I think! I love meeting new people and doing new things. I love travelling, making films and meeting as many people as I can. I love experiencing new things and am always looking out for a fun adventure or activity to try! I've been a giving massages now for a year, learning at festivals and from other masseuses. I'm a very open-minded and relaxed guy, and generally happy with everything!

I love making documentaries and trying to give people a voice. I just returned from Russia filming about the anti-Putin movement, and in a few months I am hoping to go and film the Isreal-Palestine conflict, as well as going to Bulgaria to make a more light hearted documentary about trip-hop artists!

I completely believe in peace and love. Make love not war!

I study Media Production at Coventry University in England and have just finished studying for one year at Universidad Europea de Madrid, in Madrid. I was there for 1 year and loved every second of it- did a lot of exploring then, hitchhiking to Morocco, Portugal etc. Loved the city, the people- the whole experience.

Currently writing a few comedy scripts and trying to come up with some buisness plans for next year to fund me enough money to continue my travels. If anyone wants to team up on anything give me a shout! Always more fun and productive to work with someone else too!

I also run a promotions company based in Leeds/Birmingham (http://www.facebook.com/cursethesemetalhandspromotions) so if you're a band/DJ and want a gig give me a shout!

PHILOSOPHY

Just be nice to everyone. Treat everyone like people... too many people forget the whole human aspect of life. Stop treating people like shit and then everyone can get along and actually be happy.

I don't understand the whole racism thing, everyone is just from a different piece of land. Really makes no difference.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

This year I started surfing a lot, and when I move into my apartment in Birmingham in October i will begin hosting! :D

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Always positive! The people you meet, the stories you share, the adventures you go on.... can't say a bad word about it!

Interests

Just returned from Thailand, Cambodia and Laos a few days ago, and am going to Russia on the 5th of September. My time in Asia was absolutely incredible, will never forget it!

Travelling, of course! Went to Israel last year to film Beit-Uri, a care home where Jewish, Muslim and Bedouin people work together to help those in need. Was an incredible experience. Hope to travel to Cambodia in the Summer.

I love to perform live in my band Camel Walk. I play various African drums, wind chimes and any strange instruments I can get my hands on.

Friends and family.

Taking part in peaceful protests and demonstrations. .

Exploring everything and anything!

Going to festivals. Am a huge fan of world music and reggae/dub festivals. Rhythm Tree and Blissfields are two of the best ones i've been too! I try and volunteer or perform at as many as I can.

Chatting to everyone, being around nature and animals. Am a big nature and animal fan!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was... ss... 10 I think, I was in Florida with my mum dad and brother. And we were in Sea-World. We went to the aquarium section, and there I saw a dolphin up close, with another dolphin playing with a shell. Throwing it up and down under water, moving together and pressing themselves against the glass as I did the same. Not sure why I remember that so clearly, but I remember thinking at the time "That's the most amazing thing ever..."

Hitch-hiking to Morocco was also an incredible experience. As was the journeys throughout Budapest/Hungaria. No to mention the whole time in Spain. Aaah, too many to choose! Lots of fun.

Staying up all night in Laos watching the sun set and rise over the Van Vieng mountains and swimming in the perfect blue lagoon.
